Hildesheim Golf Club House

Hildesheim is a new 27 hole Golf Country Club development located in Je Cheon, Korea. We were asked to design a 6,000 square foot lobby. The scope includes the reception area, golf pro shop, lounge, and a seating area overlooking the golf course. The concept for the design was to relate to the beautiful natural surroundings of the golf course, and bring them into the space, but in an abstract way. The golf course contains three 9-hole courses, themed as the Valley, the Mountain, and the Lake, respectively. These elements are represented in the lobby interior design using various materials and shapes so the users fully experience the harmony and the contrast between the outdoor and indoor environments. The design vocabulary of the public space will be integrated into the restaurant, café, and other communal spaces.
